About the team

You join the Finance team at Deftpower. A small, close knit team that keeps the company running smoothly while everything around it keeps moving fast. You report directly to Anja, the Accounts Payable Lead. You will also be in regular contact with our CPO Manager to align on processes and improvements.

This team works with clear roles and short lines. Everyone knows what needs to be done and takes responsibility for their part.They would never describe themselves as a team that moves mountains. They are far too modest for that. But everyone else in the organisation sees it.

Our collegue is going on maternity leave. Because it is a small and close-knit department, it is important that we find someone to fill the gap. Deftpower is growing rapidly, so if you perform well, there is a good chance that this will become a permanent position.

About the job

This role is basically about keeping things straight while the company moves fast. Making sure supplier invoices are right, approved on time and actually get paid. When volumes go up or things get messy, you are on top of it.

• You spend a lot of time in the Deftpower portal checking invoices against agreements. Most of the time it’s straightforward. Sometimes it’s not. And then you’re the one who spots it and pulls the thread.

• You’re the go to person for suppliers. If they have questions about invoices or payments, they end up with you. You answer clearly, follow up properly and don’t let things linger.

• You make sure payments go out as they should and the administration stays clean. When closing periods come around, you help out. And if something in the process can be done smarter, you speak up.

It’s a role that asks for focus and responsibility, especially because things move quickly here. But it’s also satisfying, because your work brings calm and reliability to the whole organisation.

• Salary range: Between €2800 and €4000 a month

About you

• You have several years (3+ years) of work experience in a similar role and are fluent in English, both spoken and written. German is a plus.

• You like it when things make sense. Clear agreements and tidy administration.

• You notice when something is off. A number that doesn’t add up, a payment that feels late, an invoice that raises a question. You don’t let it slide, you sort it out.

• You communicate clearly and calmly with suppliers and colleagues. Not salesy, not complicated, just to the point.
