About the job
As Financial/ Business Controller at Deftpower, you help shape the financial foundation of a fast-scaling SaaS company. With bookkeeping outsourced, your focus is on building structure, connecting data and turning insights into action. You’ll make sure our financial processes grow accurate, automated and ready for international scale.
You work closely with the founders and the Data Analytics team. Your translations of the numbers give clear insights that drive decisions. It’s a role for someone who loves ownership, impact and creating clarity.
Manage the entire lead-to-cash process, making sure everything is accurate and on time
Prepare monthly reports on revenue, costs and recurring income that give management and investors a clear view of performance
Create realistic budgets and forecasts and turn numbers into clear guidance for company growth
Work closely with Sales, Operations and Product to connect financial results with what’s happening in the business
Improve and automate financial processes so the company can easily scale across countries

You’ll work close to the business, shaping financial processes that still have plenty of room for improvement. It’s a mix of strategy and hands-on work. One moment deep in data, the next helping teams act on it. You’ll work with smart, driven colleagues across departments and see your ideas turn into real impact quickly.

Salary range: Between €5500 and €7500 a month

About you
You’re someone who thrives on fixing broken things, not by patching symptoms, but by solving root causes. You enjoy complexity and have a natural drive to optimize. You get a kick out of making processes lean, automated, and audit-proof. When things go sideways (and they will), you stay calm, focused, and solution-oriented.

You’re not afraid to take ownership, align stakeholders and dig deep into data to uncover insights that improve how we work. You combine financial awareness with a sharp eye for operational detail, knowing that at scale, even small inefficiencies can cost a lot.
Experience improving business-critical processes such as lead-to-cash, sales operations, ERP or internal control
Proven ability to automate, document, and simplify complex workflows
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with large volumes of transactional data
You must have an EU passport or valid work visa and live near Arnhem.

Depentent on the role we do a quick introduction by phone to see if there's a match on the basics. After that you'll meet the Hiring Manager or Team Lead. We'll tell you more about Deftpower, and we'd love to get to know you as a person. For some roles you'll work on a short case. Next, you will talk to a teammate so that you can get a good feel for the role and the Deftpower. For IT roles, this is when you receive the offer. For sales and operations roles there's often a third interview to give you an even broader picture of Deftpower.
