Our Deftpower team has big ideas for improving electric car charging and draws on more than a decade’s worth of experience in the EV charging business in realising them. In fact, we have just secured a 2.5m euro funding from the EU EIC Accelerator, a prestige program for promising energy startups.

With a team of 30 we are rapidly building Europe´s most advanced platform, recalibrating electric vehicle drivers, their cars, charging points and the grid in a sustainable eco-system. One in which everything is integrated, and anyone can join. We believe that this market needs to grow quickly, and that with the right team - our clients and EV drivers can be happier, businesses more profitable, and society cleaner.

To help us in our mission we are looking for a Product Owner for our offices in either Arnhem.

What you’ll be doing
With your colleagues you will find out what it really means to charge your electric vehicle in the most cost efficient and the most effortless way. Understanding the energy markets will make this job easier. Here are some of the tasks you will be performing:

1. Product Vision and Strategy:

  • Define and articulate a compelling product vision aligned with company objectives.

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the continuous enhancement of our smart charging platform.

2. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including engineering, design, marketing, and customer support, to align product development with business goals.

  • Communicate effectively to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

3. User-Centric Design:

  • Advocate for a user-centric approach in product development, leveraging user feedback and market research to inform feature prioritization and improvements.

  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure an intuitive and enjoyable user experience.

4. Feature Prioritization and Backlog Management:

  • Prioritize features based on a deep understanding of market needs, customer feedback, and technical considerations.

  • Manage and groom the product backlog, maintaining alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives.

  • Agile Development Facilitation.

  • Facilitate Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely and successful product releases.

6. Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for differentiation.

  • Stay informed about competitors and market dynamics, providing insights for strategic decision-making.

7. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success and effectiveness of the smart charging platform.

  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance metrics and user feedback.

Qualifications
A skilled product owner has a mix of abilities, qualities, and know-how, as listed in the tasks you will be doing. These skills help them connect what the business needs with the right solutions effectively. We would love to hear great stories about your previous projects!

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a technology-driven environment, preferably in the EV or energy industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. You enjoy taking responsibility and deliver work end-to-end, including regularly communicating with clients or other stakeholders in the process.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

  • Familiarity with electric vehicle charging, smart grid solutions, or related technologies is a plus.

  • You are an EU citizen and reside near Arnhem. This is not a remote position.
