About the team
You join the Platform team, the technical backbone of Deftpower. This is where our SaaS platform is built, improved and scaled every day. The team works closely with Product and other engineering teams to deliver features fast and keep the platform secure and reliable.
Security is not a separate layer here. It is part of how we build. You work side by side with developers, helping them make better and safer decisions in their daily work. There is a lot of ownership, a lot of freedom and a strong drive to keep improving.

About the job
As Security Engineer you make security part of how we build and run our platform. You work hands on with teams to improve systems, architecture and integrations. You do not sit on the sidelines. You are in the middle of the product.
Coach teams on secure by design and help them make better technical decisions
Improve platform security across services, infrastructure and integrations
Implement security controls in our cloud and development workflows
Identify risks in systems and translate them into concrete improvements
Uplift security knowledge across engineering through hands on support

Salary range: Between €5000,- and €6800,- a month
€2.000 training budget per year to keep learning and growing.
Choose your own laptop to work with, up to €1.750.

About you
You're an engineer who builds things. You think in systems, not checklists. You like being the first to spot a problem and the first to fix it!
You have 2+ years experience in a security or engineering role;
You understand cloud environments and modern architectures
You like working closely with developers and solving real problems
You take ownership and do not wait for perfect clarity
You communicate clearly and give direct feedback when needed

Depentent on the role we do a quick introduction by phone to see if there's a match on the basics. After that you'll meet the Team Lead, Timo. We'll tell you more about Deftpower, and we'd love to get to know you as a person. For some roles you'll work on a short case. Next, you will talk to a teammate so that you can get a good feel for the role and the Deftpower. For IT roles, this is when you receive the offer.
